The Adrenal Stress Index™ (ASI) is a saliva test utilizing 4 samples over the course of one typical day. The test evaluates a person’s stress response, investigates blood sugar control, determines stress adaptation ability and adrenal reserve, assesses impact on the immune system, and identifies gluten grain intolerance.
The human adrenal gland does not secrete its steroid hormones at a constant level throughout the day. The hormones are actually released in a cycle with the highest value in the morning and the lowest value at night. This 24-hour cycle is called the circadian rhythm. An abnormal adrenal rhythm can influence many functions of the body including energy production, muscle and joint function, bone health, immune health, sleep quality, skin regeneration/healing, and thyroid function.
If you have been suffering from chronic stress and health related problems, lack of vitality and energy, muscle and joint pain, chronic inflammation, hypoglycemia, migraine headaches, osteoporosis, sleep disturbances, poor memory, alcohol intolerance, low sex drive, low body temperature or have hypothyroidism, multiple food allergies and/or seasonal allergies, arthritis, or an autoimmune disease, you should seriously consider being evaluated and tested.
